25 years of regular trains to Clitheroe

A reception was held at Ribble Valley Borough Council’s Chamber  on Thursday 6 June to mark the 25th Anniversary of the return of regular train services to the Ribble Valley and Clitheroe.

Organised by Community Rail Lancashire and the Clitheroe Line Community Rail Partnership the 10:56 train from Manchester was greeted by the Town Crier who welcomed special guests to Clitheroe Station.  At Ribble Valley Council Chamber guests enjoyed speeches on the past, present and future of the Ribble Valley Line.

The reception was enjoyed by all and the perfect way to mark this special occasion.
