The majority of bus operators in Blackburn with Darwen produce their own timetables leaflets though these may often be via an online portal or app. For those that don’t produce their own, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council produce a small number of timetables for those not covered. In addition, BWDBC also produce specific leaflets for services that operate into Blackburn or Darwen as well as a specific Royal Blackburn Hospital services leaflet. Those can be found below.

Door to Door Services.

We understand the worry and stress residents who don’t have immediate access to public transport or caused when a bus service is lost. Links to the shops, doctors, the hospital or to see friends can be so much harder without easy access to public transport.

Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council has been working closely with small local operators who offer specialised door-to-door services (or demand responsive transport) for those who:

  • are struggling to get out and about
  • find it too far to walk to the nearest bus service
  • find their shopping too heavy to carry home
  • need to attend hospital appointments or visiting
