“A year ago I signed up for the volunteer role of Running Mayor for Blackburn with Darwen. I didn’t know what to expect, but I am a passionate advocate for running, having experienced first-hand both the mental and physical benefits. I’m part of local running group Blackburn Road Runners, but locally we are lucky enough to have a supportive borough-wide running community for people to get advice and inspiration from.
“I’m a busy working Dad, but finding time to share my passion is a privilege and I’m looking forward to more activity in 2022, including being a pacer for Wesham 10k (Preston), Chester Half Marathon, Chester Marathon and the next Blackburn 10k, running has given me so much so pacing is my way of giving something back and helping people achieve their goals.
