Blackburn with Darwen’s Executive Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Damian Talbot said: “This is a wonderful way to start the New Year, sharing pictures from our beautiful towns inspiring residents to get out and about for daily covid-safe exercise.”
Resident and calendar contributor John Rutherford loves the family benefits of being out in the fresh air. He said: I’ve been a keen cyclists for around six years now, both mountain bike and road bike, we have great surroundings for it. My wife, two older children, and baby, all thoroughly enjoy to get out together at the weekends. The baby loves the bike mounted baby seat, and we love nothing better than setting off with a picnic and not quite sure where we’ll end up. It’s great exercise as well as quality family time.”
