The Young Weavers are starting an adult only, weekly stress relief cycling evening event in March.
The aim of this is simply to make Thursday evening a cycle stress buster, an evening to beat the week’s stress, leave your work, cares and worries behind and join the ride.
The ride on Thursday, March 17, will ride out from Witton at 18:30 via Pleasington and head out towards Riley Green, turning onto Sandy lane then onto Marsh lane to Top Lock then back via the canal. The evening will be led by Victoria Riddehough, a qualified ride leader with years of cycling experience.
As with all rides in winter, extreme weather may cancel rides. Please remember lights at this time of year are essential for safety.
As well as the Witton ride out, the Young Weavers will also be hosting a Thursday evening ride out from Haslingden, starting March 24, from Haslingden Sports Centre.
Full details of this ride will be posted on the Young Weavers website when it has been confirmed.
As well as the above rides, the Young Weavers also hold a regular fortnightly adult only ride programme, ranging from short 12 mile mountain bike days to full 85 mile road rides, covering Lancashire and Yorkshire Dales. All rides are led by riders with years of cycling experience.
