Three new bus services are set to launch on Monday 5th October 2020. Local residents will be able to take advantage of the new routes. The improvements have been funded by the Department for Transport’s ‘Supported Bus Services’ programme and include:
- Reintroduced journeys from Darwen to Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital, extending to Audley Range, North Road and Blackburn Town Centre operated by Moving People – Service Flyer
- New Peak time service for the Phillips Road and Whitebirk Industrial Estates operated by Blackburn Private Hire – Service Flyer
- Additional links to Darwen town centre from Hoddlesden, Waterside, Eccleshill and Pot House and improved links between Edgworth and Darwen operated by Travel Assist – Service Flyer
Residents are advised to only use public transport for essential purposes, such as travelling to work or school.
