BwD Road Safety team were at St Albans RC Primary Blackburn to give their Year 5 students some road safety training.
The team were joined by PCSO Sheikh from the Neighbourhood Policing team.
Community road safety training gives local young people an essential life skill to ensure they and their families can be safe on our streets and roads in our neighbourhoods.
BwD road safety officer Andrew Duxbury said:
“All children should be road safety trained so that they can enjoy our shared spaces independently. Healthy streets begin with road users of all abilities feeling safe and welcome. The school sessions are just a small part of making sure our children are safe while using the streets and roads in Blackburn and Darwen, but hopefully we are helping make a difference in our communities.”
